By the Grace of G-d8th of Elul, 5717Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mr. ...
Bronx 60, New York
Greeting and Blessing:
I duly received your letter, and requested my secretary to convey to you my reply over the telephone. This letter is, therefore just to confirm it.
You wrote about various possibilities in connection with your future studies. My suggestion is that you should discuss the matter with your teachers who are familiar with your mental ability and attitude, as to the course of study that you should undertake. Since one of the possibilities is to go to the Yeshiva in Montreal, where you have a friend who could help you, you ought to write to the yeshiva administration in Montreal, to find out if they have a suitable class for you, and in that case it would be advisable for you to go there, and to devote the next year exclusively to the sacred study of the Torah. No doubt you will find some friends who could influence your parents to agree to this.
With regard to the question of Parnosso, I need hardly remind you that we all recognize that it is G-d, the Creator and Master of the world, Who feeds and sustains everybody. Therefore, the channels to receive His blessings are to be found in the Torah and Mitzvoth, which he has given and commanded us, and if you will dedicate the above mentioned period exclusively, you will thereby create the channel of Parnoso.
With blessing,
