By the Grace of G-d 7th of Iyar, 5734 Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. G. Gordon

Greeting and Blessing:
I duly received your letter of April 24th with the enclosures. In it you write about matters of business and Parnosso, and ways to improve it.
May G-d grant that you should have Hatzlocho, and Hatzlocho in matters of Parnosso means two things: that it should be ample, and that the income should be spent on healthy things, Jewish things and holy things. May it be so in your case, and may you enjoy it in good health and peace of mind.
It is surely unnecessary to emphasize to you at length that although one is expected to make the necessary effort in the natural order of things to widen the channels of Parnosso as it is written, "And G-d will bless you in all that you do," this verse in itself emphasizes that G-d is the Source of blessings. Consequently, it is the observance of G-d’s Mitzvoth which is the channel to receive G-d’s blessings, as has often been emphasized in the Torah, "If you will walk in My statutes, and will observe My Mitzvoth and do them" - then all material blessings will follow as a matter of course.
May G-d grant that you should have good news to report in all your affairs, especially in regard to Parnosso, both in the ordinary sense, as well as in the sense of spiritual Parnosso.
With blessing,
M Schneerson
