B. H. 24th of Tammuz, 5722 Brooklyn, N.Y.
15 Empress Road
East St. Kilda, Vic.
Blessing and Greeting:
After the considerable lapse of time since your previous letter, I was pleased to receive your letter which you began on July 7, with the letter supplement.1
May G-d grant that you will have good news to report in all matters of both personal and public interest.
Enclosed is an excerpt from the recent 13th of Tammuz Farbrengen.2 No doubt the Chag HaGeulo was inspiringly observed also in your circle, and will spur to ever greater accomplishments in every field of activity to which my father-in-law of saintly memory had dedicated his life.
With prayerful wishes to your entire family, and
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
Notes and sources
Mrs. Groner (1926–2018), together with her husband Rabbi Yitzhak Dovid Groner (1925–2008), were among the pioneer shluchim of the Rebbe to Melbourne, Australia. In 1958, the Groners relocated from Buffalo, New York—where they had been directing the local Chabad school—initially intending to remain for three to five years. They ultimately settled permanently, devoting more than five decades to nurturing and strengthening Jewish life in Melbourne.
For additional English letters addressed to her, see letter dated 11 Marcheshvan 5721 and as referenced there.
1) The Rebbe had previously encouraged Mrs. Groner to update the Rebbe on her activities.
