By the Grace of G-dLag B'Omer, 5724Brooklyn, N. Y.

London N.16, England
Blessing and Greeting:
I am in receipt of your letter of the 16th of Iyar in which you write about the question of fixing the date for your marriage.
Generally speaking my view on this question is well known, namely that the time between the engagement and marriage should be shortened as much as possible, for many reasons, and is also quite understandable. However inasmuch as you do not write what the reasons are of those who would like to postpone the wedding date a little later than you would like, it is difficult for me to express a definite opinion on this matter. The best thing therefore is that both sides should get together and decide by mutual consent on the wedding date. May G-d whose benevolent Providence extends to everyone individually send his blessing that the wedding should take place in a happy and auspicious hour.
A copy of this letter is sent to your fiance,1 which should facilitate your mutual agreement on this subject.
With blessing
By Nissan Mindel
