Blesseing and Greeting:
This is to acknowledge your letter of October 19th, in which you write about the problem of acquiring a house in a suitable section.
Inasmuch as it seems from your letter that there are various considerations involved, the best thing for you to do would be to discuss the problem with your local friends who are familiar with local conditions and who could give you an objective advice. By weighing their opinions, you could then make a final decision, and whatever it be, may G-d grant that it be for your benefit in every way.
It was the custom of my saintly father-in-law of blessed memory to participate with a personal check from one of his special funds, in certain circumstances, with a view to increasing the success of the particular venture. In accordance with this practice, I am also enclosing such a check to be applied, together with your own money, on the first payment on the house that you will buy in a happy and suspicious hour, and may it, too, bring you increased Divine blessings.
With blessing
M. Schneerson
P.S. This letter having been delayed, your letter of Oct. 26th has just been received. With the added personal considerations involved, as you describe them in your recent letter, my above suggestion is further strengthened, namely that you should discuss the matter of location and purchase chase with your local friends, and make a decision accordingly, with G-d's blessings.
