Blessing and Greeting:
After the very long interval, I received your letter, in which you write a report of the activities of the N’shei Chabad Juniors, of which you are a past president. I also noted with interest the plans of the N’shei for the future.
As I have written in similar cases, it is my earnest hope that the summer period will not bring a cessation of activities, for, inasmuch as the Torah and Torah activities are the source of life, there can be no interruption. At most, there can be a change of program to fit in more fully with the special season of the year, and every effort should be made to take the fullest possible advantages of the special opportunities which summertime offers.
Noting from your letter that most of the members are young married women, I would like to add that the program should include a class or study of the laws of Taharas Hamishpocho, and there should be a general emphasis on the practical aspects and laws concerning the Jewish housewife, as it is written, "Fear G-d and fulfill his commandments, for this is the whole human". Furthermore, the actual experience of Torah and Mitzvoth in daily life gives a deeper insight into a better appreciation and understanding of them.
I hope to hear good news from you in all above.
I take this opportunity to express the hope that the matters about which you and your husband wrote to me some time ago, and to which I replied, have been resolved satisfactorily, and it would be good to hear about it explicitly.
As this year is the 200th anniversary of the Baal Shem Tov's completion of his life’s work, the emphasis is on complete faith in G-d's benevolent Providence which extends to everyone individually, and on the service of G-d with Joy - two basic principles of Chassidus which the Baal Shem Tov taught.
With blessing,
By Nissan Mindel
