Dr. and Mrs. Pesach Betzalel and
Sarah Rifka Rosenbloom
501 W. 120th Street
New York, N.Y. 10027
Greeting and Blessing:
At this time before Shovuos, the Festival of Our Receiving the Torah, I send you and yours my prayerful wishes for a happy and inspiring Yom Tov, and - to use the traditional blessing of my father-in-law of saintly memory - to receive the Torah and Mitzvos with joy and inwardness.
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
P.S. Subsequent to my speaking with Mrs. Rosenbloom, I read her letter, and was pleased to note in it the details about your summer plans.
The letter mentions that most of the summer Dr. Rosenbloom will have no activities. No doubt what is meant is that he will not be lecturing at the University. But surely this will give him an opportunity to concentrate on his research work without distraction. As I have mentioned it before on several occasions, I attach considerable importance to his work, especially in the present day and age when there is a constant advancement in the various branches of science. If every person should be au courant in his field, it is certainly important for Dr. Rosenbloom in particular. Moreover, and this too I have emphasized on occasion, an increased measure of prestige and influence can contribute a great deal to the success of one's efforts in spreading and strengthening Yiddishkeit.
May G-d grant that whatever you decide in regard to your planned visit to Minneapolis and the summer plans and for your children be with Hatzlocho.
Enclosed is a receipt for the donation of your friend Mr. S. Beraha, which was turned over to our Tefillin Campaign. May it stand him in good stead.
