By the Grace of G-dChanukah, 5724Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. . . .
London, England
Greeting and Blessing:
I received your letter which was written on the auspicious day of the 19th of Kislev, in which you wrote about your purchase of a house. You also mention that you can make a substantial profit if you should now sell this house, and you ask my advice.
Inasmuch as the month of Kislev is now over, and there is also certain work to be put into the house, it seems to me that despite the profit which you can now make on an immediate sale, you should not be in a hurry to sell this house. It is possible that the price of the house will go up still more when the work is completed and the house occupied. May G-d grant that the postponement of the sale will be for your benefit.
I trust that you actively participate in the work of the Lubavitch House to strengthen and spread Torah Yiddishkeit in general, and the fountains of Chassidus in particular.
Since you conclude your letter with the traditional Yud-Tes Kislev blessing for a happy new year, in accordance with the significance of this day as the Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus, may G-d grant that its inspiration and blessings should fill every day of the year.
Wishing you and yours a happy Chanukah
With blessing
