By the Grace of G-d7th of Cheshvan, 5745Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. . . .
Herts., England
Greeting and Blessing:
I received your letter of the 3rd of Marcheshvan and previous correspondence during your visit here. But this is the first opportunity to begin answering correspondence received during the month of Tishrei, for obvious reasons.
I will again remember you in prayer for the fulfillment of your heart’s desires for good in regard to yourself and your family, as well as the others mentioned in your letter.
In reply to your question - it would be preferable to continue in your own trade as long as it is possible, even if it may be connected with difficulties, for this is still a better option than starting something new. And there is the assurance of Yogato u'Motzoso.1
There is surely no need to remind you that when extra blessings from HaShem are needed, an extra effort should be made in widening the channels through which a Jew receives G-d’s blessings, namely the Torah and Mitzvoth in the everyday life and conduct, where there is always room for advancement. I trust you can convey this also to all the others for whom you requested a Brocho, since the Source of all blessings is HaShem. All the more so, since in any case all things of goodness and holiness should always be on the increase.
May G-d grant that you should have good news to report in all above.
With blessing,
