Blessing and Greeting:
Your grandfather, Mr. Moshe Zalmen Feiglin,1 has informed me of your forthcoming marriage to Mr. Dov Oberman on the 25th of Adar. I send you and your chosen one my prayerful wishes that your marriage take place in a happy and auspicious hour and that you set up a truly Jewish home, based on the foundations of Torah and Mitzvoth, which is a happy home, both materially and spiritually.
A marriage, in Jewish life, is likened to an edifice, and the traditional blessing is that it be a "Binyan adei-ad" – an everlasting edifice.
To make a building durable and weather-proof, to withstand any kind of weather and storm, the essential thing is to make sure that the foundations are solid and that the material of the structure is of the best; external beauty, or the opinion of passers-by, are of no consideration where the durability and permanency of the entire structure are concerned.
The foundations and essential material of which a Jewish home is built – are the Torah and Mitzvoth; only this kind of Jewish home has proved an "everlasting edifice" and "weather-proof" throughout the generations. It is a truly happy and harmonious Jewish home. Knowing of your family and background, I am sure that this kind of home will also be yours.
Please convey my best wishes to your parents of Mazzal tov and real Yiddish Nachas,
With blessing,
M. Schneerson

1) Rabbi Moshe Zalman Feiglin (5635–5717) was a Chabad Chossid who immigrated to Australia in 1912, becoming an early pioneer of Jewish life in Australia (for his biography, see U. Kaploun, Avraham Avinu of Australia (SIE, 2016)).
2) The following idea is also echoed in a letter from later that year, 22 Menachem Av, 5716 (Likkutei Sichos, vol. 29, p. 453; Igros Kodesh, vol. 13, letter 4644). See also letter dated 10 Sivan, 5714.
