Greeting and Blessing:
After not having heard from you for a long time, I was pleased to receive your recent letter. May G-d grant you success in all the matters you write about, both in your personal affairs, as well as in your activities to strengthen and spread Yiddishkeit and Chassidus in your environment.
This year is especially auspicious and inspiring, being the 150th Anniversary of the Histalkus of the Old Rebbe, author of the Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, founder of Chabbad.
I trust you duly noted the 24th of Teveth, as well as the 10th of Shevat, and that these memorable days will have a lasting influence in all your activities throughout the year.
With blessing
By Nissan Mindel
P.S. The despatch of this letter having been delayed, your letter of Erev Shabbos-Kodesh Mishpotim has just been received, and here are the replies to your questions: (1) What should your sister do upon completion of her present schooling? - Since, as you write, the question will arise after 18 months from now, it is too soon to make a decision now. (2) How you should arrange your own learning, whether only with "chavruso" or also on your own? - You should arrange it according to the possibilities. (3) Where you should be during Pesach? - Your spending Pesach at home with your parents will surely give them particular joy, and will also be beneficial to the Hiddur of the Kashrus in the household. It would therefore be advisable to make this your effort.
