This is to confirm receipt of your respective letter of the 22nd of Adar. I regret that due to circumstances beyond my control, my reply has been delayed.

You write about your decision to continue studies at the Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel for another two to three years of full-time learning, and then you will be prepared to go out into the world.

Needless to say, it is a good idea. Of course, it is premature to make now any rigid plans about the future in two or three years time. There will be ample time to do this closer to that period.

There is surely no need to emphasize the great benefits that you will derive from this full-time period of Torah study, both for the reasons you mention, as well as many other reasons. This is all the more commendable considering that it was a voluntary and willing decision on the part of both of you.

Incidentally, your decision happens to be very much in line with the expression used by the Alter Rebbe, Founder of Chabad, in his Hil.¹ Talmud Torah: גם אחר הנישואין יוכל ללמוד ב׳ או ג׳ שנים בלי טרחה גדולה כל כך (פ״ג סו״ס א׳)²

You did not mention specifically what courses of Torah you intend to pursue, but I trust it includes also a regular study period in Chasidus, and not merely occasional study. Moreover, among your good friends and acquaintances you will find many who will be glad to explain to you any difficult texts and the like.
