This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter of Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan. I was pleased to find in it a report of recent activities.

I trust that you have derived a great deal of lasting inspiration from the festivals of Tishrei, culminating with the Joyous festival of Simchas Torah. As explained by the Alter Rebbe, the joy of Simchas Torah is a double one: The Jews rejoicing with the Torah, and the Torah rejoicing with the Jews, based on the verses, "Israel rejoices with their Maker" and ״G-d rejoices with His works."

May this year be truly a year of Torah and a year of Simcha for you and yours, including those who look up to you for guidance and inspiration.
