By the Grace of G-d7th of Cheshvan, 5745Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. . . .
Winchmore Hill
London, Eng.
Greeting and Blessing:
I received your letter of Aug. 6th with considerable delay. If you will let me know the full Jewish names, of yourself and all the members of your family, together with the mother’s Jewish name in each case, as is customary, I will remember you all in prayer when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory.
Judging by your writing, there is surely no need to emphasize to you at length that all blessings come from HaShem, and the channel to receive them is through the everyday life and conduct in accordance with His Will, namely in accordance with His Torah and Mitzvoth. Therefore, every additional effort in this direction, though a "must" for its own sake, since all matters of goodness and holiness, Torah and Mitzvoth, should always be on the increase, widens the channels to receive G-d's blessings in all needs, so that all problems are resolved in a good way, as HaShem, the Creator and Master of the world, knows what is truly good for everyone. Including, above all, that you and your wife should bring up your children to a life of Torah, Chuppah and Good Deeds, in good health and prosperity, materially and spiritually.
Having just come from the month of Tishrei, which is so rich with spiritual experience, and concludes with Simchas Torah, I trust that the joy and inspiration of it will be with you and all yours every day of the year.
Hoping to hear good news from you in all above,
With blessing,
