By the Grace of G-d 5th of Teves, 5725 Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. . . .
Rhawnhurst, Phila., Pa.
Greeting and Blessing:
I am in receipt of your letter, written on the last day of Chanukah.
As requested, I will remember you and your wife in prayer, and may G-d grant that you should have good news to report.
Having just celebrated Chanukah, I trust that you have derived lasting inspiration from it, especially the need to spread the light of the Torah and Mitzvoth in a growing measure, as indicated by the Chanukah lights, which are kindled in growing numbers each night of Chanukah. This will also bring you and yours a growing measure of Divine blessings.
Hoping to meet you at future happy gatherings, and looking forward to receiving good news from you.
With blessing

Notes and sources
1) On this copy, the secretary's copy, the Rebbe added the following for the secretary to translate it into English and add it to the bottom of the letter. Unfortunately, we do not have the final text written in English. We provide here a loose translation:
In reply to your question - should you go for tests in the hospital, as your doctor suggests, being that you are in the middle of a lawsuit.
- After you find out from your lawyer when the hearing will be (for in general these things are not done in haste) you should consult your doctor if you should wait that long.
