By the Grace of G-d 12th of Adar, 5724 Brooklyn, N.Y.
Greeting and Blessing:
It is a long time since I received your last letter. I trust that everything is in good order with you, and insofar as a Jew is concerned “good order” means that he is studying the Torah with devotion and diligence, and fulfilling the Mitzvoth with joy.
As we are about to celebrate the happy festival of Purim, I trust you will remember the important message of Purim, that the miracle of the turnabout from sadness to gladness, etc., came about when Mordechai gathered many thousands of Jewish children and studied the Torah with them in a spirit of complete dedication and self-sacrifice. Thanks to this, all the Jews merited “light, joy, gladness and honor.”1 May this be so also in your case.
With blessing,
By Nissan Mindel
