After not hearing from you for some time, I was pleased to receive your letter and to note that you have settled down at the Yeshiva satisfactorily. I hope you will make steady and continuous advancement, in accordance with the instruction of Chanukah and the Chanukah lights, for the true light is the light of the Torah and Mitzvoth, as it is written Ner Mitzvah v’Torah Or.¹

May G-d grant that you will have good news to report also about your mother and sister, whom I will also remember in prayer when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory, in accordance with the contents of your letter.

I trust you fully participated in Yud-Tes Kislev Farbrengen, remembering that Yud-[Tes] Kislev is Rosh Hashanah for Chasidus, and may the inspiration last you throughout the year.
