Sholom u’Brocho:
I duly received your Express letter, in which you reaffirm your resolution to go to the Lubavitcher Yeshivah in Eretz Yisroel at the beginning of the next Zman. May G-d grant that your going be in a happy and auspicious hour and with much Hatzlacho, spiritually and materially. -
Spiritually especially, and of course, for Eretz Yisroel is the Holy Land and recognized as such even by non-Jews. It is “a land on which G-d’s eyes are turned from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.”1
And also materially, because in Jewish life the spiritual and material go hand in hand together, as is written, “One people on earth,”2 which is explained in Chassidus3 to mean that Jews bring oneness and unity even in earthly things.
I trust you will make the fullest use of your time which is at your disposal--job-time--until your going to Eretz Yisroel for increased endeavors in all matters of Torah and Mitzvoth, both for your own benefit as well as for the benefit of others.
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
