By the Grace of G-d In the Days of Selichoth, 5721. Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mrs.
Blessing and Greeting:
In addition to the blessing for the New Year, I want to write to you especially in connection with the Psak Din and the doctor’s opinion on the question of pregnancy.
You write that the use of a cap is not a sure safeguard. However, in your case it has been effective in the past, and therefore I cannot see why you should be apprehensive about it in the future. Nevertheless, if you will present this question, like any other Shaala, to a competent Rov, telling him also about the doctor’s opinion, he will no doubt give a Psak Din, which will correspond to a Psak Din which was given here in a similar case, offering three solutions, namely: (a) The use of a cap diaphragm (b) Taking pills (c) Delaying Tevila. It is, of course, possible to combine all three.
May G-d, Whose benevolent Divine Providence extends to every one individually, lead you in the way that is truly good for you in every respect.
With blessing
M. Schneerson
