By the Grace of G-d 5th of Nissan, 5719 Brooklyn, N.Y.
Greeting and Blessing:
I received your letter of April 10th, and the previous one.
I trust you will soon be able to report good news about your wife, as well as about your business. All the more so that we are now in the month of Liberation, and may it bring you liberation from all unpleasant and adverse matters.
As for the battle between the Divine soul and animal soul, and how you are coming with it, I am surprised that you should find it so difficult, in view of what we had to say on the subject during the Farbrengen,1 and especially as the subject is treated in the Tanya (see index at the end) – The clue to victory is not to be discouraged, as explained in the Tanya at length.
Thank you for delivering my regards, and may G-d grant that the inner intention of it be fulfilled. You may probably know the saying of the Mitteler Rebbe, that when a Jew has a spiritual problem and shares it with another Jew, there are two Divine souls against one animal soul, and therefore it must result in a victory.2 And a "victory" means the actual practice of the Torah and Mitzvo[t]h in daily life, in an ever-growing measure.
As for business, you know the principle of our Torah, that one has to try everything possible in the natural way, and then G-d will send His blessings in a supernatural way.
Hoping to hear good news from you, both in your private and in your communal affairs, and wishing you and yours a Kosher and happy Pesach,
With blessing
Regarding the Bible Unauthorized,3 I believe that copies are available from Rabbi E. Simpson.

1) Presumably the farbrengen of Purim, 5719 (see Toras Menachem, vol. 25, p. 107 ff.; p. 117 ff.; p. 157 ff.).
2) See HaYom Yom 20 Teves.
3) The Bible Unauthorized was authored by Aharon (Harry) Hirsch (editor of Lubavitch’s periodical HaKriah VehaKedushah), under the pen name of A. H. Moose. The book is an original scientific translation and explanation of the first eleven chapters of Bereishis. After the Rebbe reviewed the book, the Rebbe Rayatz lent a sizable amount of money to Leavitt to print the book (see Igros Kodesh , Rebbe Rayatz, vol. 9, letter 2768, and as referenced there, at length).
