By the Grace of G-d18th of Elul, 5718Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. Aron Dov Sufrin
27 Linthorpe Road
London N. 16, England
Greeting and Blessing:
I received your letter, in which you write about your mother-in-law. As I have already written to her, it is necessary to approach the appropriate organizations and all friends, such as an Agudath Israel, etc., that might be helpful to her. In view of the fact that you are in London, surely you could do a great deal in this connection.
With regard to the matter of . . . it is possible that while there is no shortage of Shochetim in London, there may be openings in Manchester, which I understand has a large, important and orthodox Jewish community. You mention that his Yichus might have something to do with his present difficulty, but perhaps his Rosh Yeshiva and teachers might do something about overcoming this difficulty, for if he is otherwise suitable and qualified, his own Yichus is more important than that of his origin. As for the possibility of getting a teaching or secretarial job, it is necessary to know if he is suitable for such a job, all the more so since you mention that he gets easily upset, while teaching requires a great deal of patience and calmness. Therefore, it may be advisable for him to try his skill in conducting a Mesibos Shabbos group several times, to see how he gets on with children.
As requested, I will remember you in prayer when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory.
Wishing you and yours a Kesivo Vachasimo Toivo
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
