Greeting and Blessing:
This is to acknowledge with thanks receipt of your letter of October 14th and enclosures. I appreciate the warm sentiments of your letter, and your thoughtfulness in sending me your recent statements.
Since you mention the festival of Simchas Torah, and inasmuch as it is the culmination of all the festivals with which we inaugurate the new year, may G-d grant that this should indeed be a year of Simcha in the spirit of our Torah, called Toras Chaim, being the true guide to worthy life. Indeed, it is the guide not only for the Jewish people, but also for humanity at large, for, as is well known, it contains the fundamental laws of human behavior applicable to the Children of Noah, which is the term for humanity at large. The Torah also makes it obligatory upon Jews to encourage their non-Jewish neighbors, and the society at large, in the observance of these all-embracing Divine Laws, which are the basis for a truly free and worthy society of mankind.
I send you my prayerful wishes for success in your public work in the above mentioned spirit.
With blessing.
