By the Grace of G-d3rd of Iyar, 5719 Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. Abraham David Teitelbaum
c/o Rabbi L. Kramer
5265 Park Avenue
Montreal, P.Q., Canada
Greeting and Blessing:
I duly received the message about the birth of your son, and his subsequent improvement in health and the Bris, when he was given the name of my father-in-law. As requested, I will remember him again, in prayer, when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory, and may G-d grant that you and your wife will bring him up in good health and in ample sustenance, לאיוש"ט.
As for the question whether you should accept the offer of a teaching position in the college, if it will not affect your way of life, it is a good proposition. I trust that it will enable you not only to complete your academic studies, but also give you the opportunity to set aside appointed times for the study of the Torah every day, which is, after all, the essential thing.
The enclosed message, though issued before Pesach, is of timely interest throughout the year, and I hope you will find it so.
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
