1By the Grace of G-d 15th of Shevat, 5735 Jan. 27, 1975 Brooklyn, N. Y.
Governor Milton J. Shapp
The commonwealth of Penna.
Harrisburg, Penna.
Greeting and Blessing:
This is to acknowledge gratefully your personal message of greetings and felicitations on the occasion of our 25th Anniversary. I particularly appreciate the official “Citation” as well as Proclamation of a “Lubavitcher Year” in your great State.
These warm gestures and sentiments are all the more meaningful in view of the fact that our movement has found such fertile soil in your State, where it is rendering dedicated service to the Jewish community, particularly in the area of education and youth activity, so vital in the present day and age.
In accordance with the Divine Promise to our Patriarch Abraham, “I will bless them that bless thee,” may G-d reciprocate your good wishes in a generous measure, particularly in your successful efforts to guide your great State on the path of material and spiritual well-being and prosperity.
With blessing and prayerful wishes,
Cordially yours,
