By the Grace of G-d14th of Elul, 5735Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mr.
London, N.1
Greeting and Blessing:
I duly received your letter. If you will let me know the full Hebrew names of all the members of your family, with the mother's name, as is customary, I will remember you all in prayer, as requested.
With regard to the question of strength, etc. it is well to bear in mind that this and all other Divine blessings a Jew receives through living up to the will of G-d in the daily life, for the Torah and Mitzvos are the channels through which G-d sends His blessings. Particularly important is the meticulous observance of Kashrus in regard to all foods and beverages. Needless to say, there is always room for improvement in all matters of Torah and Mitzvos, which are infinite, being derived from the Infinite.
The present days of Elul are particularly suitable for getting closer to G-d, as explained by the Alter Rebbe by means of the parable of the "King in the Field" (Likutei Torah, Re'eh 32b). Since you have learned in Lubavitch you surely know about it.
May G-d grant that you should have good news to report in all above.
Wishing you and each and all the members of your family a Kesivo vachasimo toivo for s good and sweet year.
With blessing
M. Schneerson
