Notes and sources
The above letter is sourced from a secretarial carbon copy. The letter was sent on the stationery of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch.
1) On the secretarial copy of this letter a few publications are noted to be sent: The monthly journal Talks and Tales in English and Yiddish (Schmuesen Mit Kinder un Yugent), Manual of Blessings and Prayers, and The Soldier (a small pamphlet with a short story).
2) Seymour was the brother of Aaron Silbermintz who worked then as a secretary for Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch.
3) It is well to note that later that year Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch began printing the festival series - short pamphlets outlining laws and customs of the holidays.
