Dear Mr. Nock:
We wish to express our extreme satisfaction for the interest you have shown in the work of strengthening the cause of Torah and Judaism in your community, [...] told us by your brother.
We have already forwarded you under separate cover copies of various brochures, pamphlets, and publications of our office which deal with different aspects of the Jewish life, this was done at the request of your brother.
In the "Kovetz Michtovim" (Collected Letters) of the Lubavitcher Rabbi which we sent you, you will be able to gather some ideas and some knowledge of the various phases of Jewish life all over the world which need the attention of every Torah-true Jew. In it you will find the comments made by the Lubavitcher Rabbi on such vital matters as Tshuvah, Tehilim, Taharath Hamishpocho etc.
Since "One May bestow a privilege on a person even not in his presence" we have taken the liberty to enroll you in our world-wide society of "Mishnayos B'al Peh" (Oral rehearsing of the Mishnah), the portion accorded you and which you will have to memorize by heart is Midos 1-5. The Siyum will be on the day after the Shovuoth holiday, with the help of G-d.
We sincerely hope that you will keep in steady contact with us and write us from time to time regarding the situation of the orthodox Jew in your country and also what you may have accomplished as far as Sabbath Observance, Taharath Hamishpocho and other aspects of Jewish life in your community is concerned. We trust that you will do your utmost to help spread the idea of Torah-true Judaism among your neighbors in whatever corner of the globe you may be.
With greetings of L’Alter L’Tshuvoh L'Alter L'Geuloh
Rabbi Mendel Schneerson
Chairman, Executive Committee
