By the Grace of G-d 19th of Kislev, 5742 Brooklyn. N. Y.
Mr. Zvi Arye Jacobs
504-A Edisto Ave.
Columbia. S.C. 29205
Greeting and Blessing:
I was pleased to receive your letter of the 9th of Kislev, and to read the good news about your steady advancement in Torah Yiddishkeit.
May G-d grant that you should continue to go from strength to strength in this direction, in accordance with the saying of our Sages, "One who has 100, desires 200” etc. If this is true in the ordinary sense, how much more so should it be in matters of the real and eternal values of Torah and Mitzvoth. And since V’Chevto L’Reacho Komocho is the Great Principle of our Torah, you are surely doing your best to use your good influence in your surroundings, both by showing a shining example and by words coming from the heart.
Please convey to all your family my prayerful wishes for a bright and inspiring Chanukah, and may the inspiration and brightness of it be felt throughout every day of the year, in a growing measure of commitment and dedication to the observance of Torah and Mitzvoth in the everyday life, and in all needs materially and spiritually
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
