My dear Mr. Stulman
With the approach of Pesach, I wish to take this opportunity to send you my personal regards and best wishes for a happy and kosher Pesach.
In these days, when the plight of our people both materially and spiritually is so great, we must more than ever before get the full inspiration from our "Festival of Freedom."
The messages that our Festival of Pesach conveys to us, are many, but I will dwell only on one of them. The Pesach Seder is ushered in with the exclamation, "He who is needy let him come to celebrate Pesach with us!" It is characteristic of the Jewish people, that when we celebrate the festival commemorating our liberation from Egyptian bondage and becoming a free people, we proclaim the ideal of charity. If in the case of rendering material aid one should remember the less fortunate, how much more so in the case of rendering spiritual aid, because spiritual well-being is the basis also for material well-being.
And so, when you sit at the Seder, I am sure that your splendid cooperation with the work of the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch, will be a source of great spiritual satisfaction to you.
Wishing you and yours a happy and kosher Passover, I am
Very sincerely yours,
M. Schneerson
