By the Grace of G-dZos Chanukah, 5744Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. . . .
Greeting and Blessing:
Your letter of the 6th of Tishrei reached me with considerable delay, in which you write about your return home.1
May G-d grant that it be a case of לפום צערא אגרא2 and that all things will get ever brighter henceforth, in accordance with the message of Chanukah and the Chanukah Lights, which are kindled in growing numbers from day to day, symbolizing that as Jews increase the light of Torah and Mitzvoth in their personal lives and all around them, HaShem increases His blessings in all their needs, both materially and spiritually.
With blessing,
