Blessing and Greeting:
It was a pleasure to receive your letter of May 24th, especially after the long interval. I was particularly gratified to read about your impressions of the Convention of the Chabad women. I trust that the new acquaintances which you made at the Convention will be cultivated and fostered and of mutual benefit to all concerned.
At this time, on the eve of Shovuoth, the Festival of the Giving of Our Torah, I send you the traditional blessing of my father-in-law of saintly memory, to receive the Torah with joy and inwardness. Wishing you and yours a happy and inspiring Shovuoth, and may the inspiration be with you throughout the year.
With Blessing
M. Schneerson
P.S. With reference to your visit to the Holy Land, and your plan to be in Jerusalem for the first two weeks, it would be well for you to be in contact with Rabbi Zelig Slonim and his family who are related to our family. His address is Shikun Chabad, Tel Arza, Jerusalem. Here you will have no language problem, as you could make use of German and English. They will be able to put you in contact with other friends in the Holy Land, including Meyer Friedman, whom you mention in your letter, and who is one of the educators at Kfar Chabad. I am certain that everyone will be most helpful to you, and since most people speak Yiddish, you should have no serious communication barrier.
