Blessing and Geeting:

Having been informed of the forthcoming Convention, to take place in the days of 21-24 of Iyar - I send prayerful wishes that it be with much Hatzlocho and justify its expectations in the fullest measure. Especially as the main theme and motto of the Convention is "Her Deeds - Her Ultimate Expression," which is eminently in keeping with the saying of our Sages of blessed memory, "The deed is the essential thing." I am therefore confident that all the good resolutions will be adopted with a suitable determination and will be carried out in concrete accomplishments.

This is also in harmony with the spirit of these days of Sefira. For, as is well known, our Sages declare that the Mitzva of Counting the Omer has its origin in the fact that immediately after the Exodus from Mitzrayim the Jews began counting the days and weeks to the great event of Kabbolas haTorah, and prepared themselves to receive the Torah - and actually did receive it - with the unanimous pledge: naase v'nishma - first and foremost naase - we will do!

Since one always has the assurance yogato umotzoso - "make the proper effort, and you will succeed," how much more so the concerted effort of the entire Convention of Nshei uBnos Chabad determined to carry out the vital resolutions and programs that have to be carried out.
