By the Grace of G-d14th of Tammuz, 5738Brooklyn, N.Y.
[Mr. D1]
Greeting and Blessing:
Your letter of the 21st of Sivan, in which you write highlights of your life, reached me with some delay.
I am gratified to read about your advancement in matters of Yiddishkeit, where there is always room for improvement, since all matters of goodness and holiness, Torah and Mitzvoth, are infinite, being connected with the Infinite. Although this is a must for its own sake, this is also the way to receive additional Divine blessings in all needs.
The suggestion that a suitable Shidduch should be a priority in your case is, of course, quite right. And whatever option you decide upon in regard to your Parnosso and profession — and from the distance it is difficult to give specific advice, and you should discuss with knowledgeable friends — you should certainly become actively and energetically interested in finding a suitable Shidduch.
You mention the matter of meditation as a therapeutic technique, but you do not mention the details involved, and perhaps you are not aware of the details. At any rate, I trust you know that this technique is often associated with certain cults which are strictly forbidden by the Torah. Therefore, you should discuss the matter with a competent Rabbi to make sure that nothing is involved there that is contrary to the Torah.
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
