By the Grace of G-d 7 Adar II, 5741Brooklyn, N.Y.
Greeting and Blessing:
Your letter of February 27th has just been received, and I hasten to acknowledge it via Express mail,
Above all I wish to assure you that I sincerely appreciate your generous offer to personally pay the costs of establishing a Lubavitcher Yeshiva and permanent presence in Hevron. While I have long been aware of your personal attitude and keen interest, as I have been informed by our mutual friends, it is particularly heart-warming and encouraging to see it expressed in such resolute tangible terms.
Needless to say, as soon as I will see a realistic possibility for the establishment of a stable Lubavitch Yeshiva in Hevron, it will receive my top priority attention, and you will, of course, be among the first to know about it.1
By Hashgocho Protis your letter was received and is acknowledged in proximity to Purim. I extend to you and all yours prayerful wishes for a joyous and inspiring Purim, and may it bring you and all of us, in the midst of Klal Yisroel, "Light, joy, gladness and honor" - in the fullest sense of these terms.
With esteem and blessing
