By the Grace of G-d10th of Menachem Av5734. Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mr. Yehoshua Pinchas haKohen Peerce
370 Beechmont Drive New Rochelle, N.Y.
Greeting and Blessing:
I was sorry to hear about your mishap. However, I was glad to be informed subsequently that you are making satisfactory progress to recovery. May G-d grant you a speedy Refuoh, so that you can continue together with your wife, in good health, your good works also for the benefit of the many.
I trust you will not take amiss the following remark. Since everything is by Divine Providence, the mishap might well be an indication for some introspection with a view to improvement, particularly in the area of Shabbos observance. Important as this is in the case of every Jew, it is even more so in the case of one who is prominent and popular, and whose personal conduct in regard to proper Shabbos observance would be an inspiring example for other Jews to emulate.
Now that the sad “Nine Days” are behind us, may you, in the midst of all our fellow Jews, enjoy henceforth unmarred and complete Simchas and happy tidings.
With esteem and blessing
M. Schneerson
