By the Grace of G-d Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan 5715, Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mrs. ...
Blessing and Greeting:
I have received your letter, and let me first refer to your disappointment at the fact after meeting with a boy your daughter did not hear from him again, and you mention various reasons for it. You should not take it to heart, for the main reason is that that particular boy apparently was not your daughter's 'basherter.' Continuing your efforts, in the natural way, to find a suitable Shidduch for your daughter, the Almighty will surely send His blessing for success.
With regard to your remarks about a Sheitel, it is my opinion that this should not present a serious problem in the case of two young people, both of whom are orthodox, and come from such fine religious homes as your daughter. Your daughter, I am sure, would not consider it too difficult a concession to make, especially as in her heart she is all for it, but is perhaps influenced by external and unimportant considerations. Moreover, in recent years especially, there has been here an increase in the number of young women putting on Sheitels, and there are large circles of them.
As for the question of money, if a boy disregards all other things and loses interest in a girl because her bank balance does not measure up to his idea, he is not worth having even if he should pursue his attention.
I hope to G-d that you will have good news to inform me.
With blessing
