By the Grace of G-d 29th of Sivan, 5718 Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mrs. Rachel Lichtenstein
c/o Schildkraut
88 Kensington St.
New Haven 11, Conn.
Blessing and Greeting:
I was very gratified to receive reports from New Haven that you were instrumental in helping to organize the Chabad Women’s league in New Haven. The success of this undertaking will surely encourage you to increase your efforts to enlarge and develop the activities of this new organization in an ever-growing measure. Our Rabbis have said that every little effort brings forth a more than corresponding blessing from Above,1 how much more so a greater and more determined effort. I sincerely hope, therefore, that the said organization will grow in every way, also numerically, by an ever-growing membership, to give true inspiration and Torah-enlightenment to ever more and more Jewish women in New Haven, and imbue them with the warmth and light and joy of the Chassidic way of life.
With prayerful wishes, and
With blessing,
By (secretary)
It would interest me to know how your sister is getting on.
