Greeting and Blessing:

I received the pidyon of the 10th of Shevat, and also your two letters of the previous dates.

With reference to the difficulty you describe about keeping up with your shiurim as you would like to, because of the conditions of the position, and about your not being very enthusiastic about the position itself, I think that with sincere determination you will find that you can keep up with your shiurim, while at the same time advancing in the position.

Even if at first this seems difficult, I trust that in due course you will find a way to so arrange your life that the spiritual aspects with reference to prayer, and the shiurim in Nigleh and Chasidus will not suffer but, on the contrary, will even improve.

As to your question whether you can become a real Oived Ha-shem, I have no doubt that you can, for when one is determined to become one, the possibility and opportunity is given from on High. You should only be strong in your faith and not admit any doubts, G-d forbid, about it.

Since you do not mention in your letter what the opinion of the doctor was about ..., I assume that everything is in order.

By the time this letter reaches you, you will have moved into your new apartment, and may G-d grant that the change of place will bring a change for the better in every way.
