By the Grace of G‑d4th of Adar Sheni, 5744 Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mr. . . .
New York, N.Y. 10023
Greeting and Blessing:
I received your (undated) letter, and many thanks for the good news it contained about your improved health, and that now you can become a Shomer Mitzvoth.
As to how you can achieve this - there is an abridged Kitzur Shulchan Aruch also in English, where everything is clearly spelled out how a Jew should conduct his everyday life. If there are some points which you may find not quite clear, you should see an Orthodox Rabbi in your vicinity, and he will be glad to help you out with the proper guidance. You should always remember that our Torah teaches that, “Nothing stands in the way of the will," and that HaShem is always ready to help one along the proper path. Thus, it is largely a matter of one's own will and determination.
The above point is particularly emphasized in connection with Purim, which we will soon celebrate, which was brought about by the firm resolve of all Jews to rededicate themselves to the observance of the Torah and Mitzvoth, and this brought about a reversal of their dangerous situation, and there was for all the Jews, "Light, Joy, Gladness and Honor."
Wishing you a joyous and inspiring Purim,
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
