By the Grace of G-d 8th of Kislev, 5744 Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr.
London
England
Greeting and Blessing:
I am in receipt of your correspondence of the 26th and 27th of Cheshvan, and may G-d grant the fulfillment of your heart’s desires for good in the matters about which you wrote.
There is surely no need to emphasize to you at length that all blessings come from G-d, and the channel to receive them is through the everyday life and conduct in accordance with His Will. Therefore, every additional effort in matters of Yiddishkeit, Torah and Mitzvoth, though a must for their own sake, widens these channels. And, of course, there is always room for advancement in all matters of goodness and holiness in the everyday life.
May G-d grant that you should have good news to report.
The time is particularly auspicious for the above, now that we have entered the month of Kislev, with the auspicious days of the 10th and 19th of Kislev, followed by Chanukah.
Wishing you a bright and inspiring Chanukah, with a steadily growing measure of light and brightness, both materially and spiritually,
With blessing
M. Schneerson
