By the Grace of G-d 9th of Tammuz, 5743 Brooklyn, N.Y.
To All Participants in the
Third Anniversary Celebration
Congregation Lubavitch
100 Woodcliff Road
South Brookline, Mass
Greeting and Blessing:
I am pleased to be informed of the celebration, taking place in close proximity to 12-13 Tammuz, anniversary of the geulo of the Rebbe, my father-in-law of saintly memory, who transplanted the Lubavitch Headquarters to the USA and initiated a network of Torah institutions and Congregations that are conducted in his spirit and according to his guidelines.
Your congregation is privileged to be one of these sacred institutions, specifically bearing the name Lubavitch, which characterizes the movement and also your congregation with the hallmark of love — love of Hashem, love of the Torah and love of fellow-Jew. For, "Lubavitch" — "the town of love" — is the name of the shtetel where the movement sprouted.
May Hashem grant that your congregation go from strength to strength in fulfilling its function. As a "congregation" of Jews united in Torah and Tefilah and permeated with the said three loves: and as a "Lighthouse" illuminating the homes of the members and worshipers and the community at large with the light of Torah and Mitzvos in the spirit of true Ahavas Yisroel and Chassidic inspiration.
With esteem and blessing,
