By the Grace of G-d 22nd of Cheshvan, 5740 Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mrs. . .
Blessing and Greeting:
This is to acknowledge receipt of your (undated) letter, with the enclosure.
Although I receive regular reports from your husband about his and your good work, and he surely conveys to you my prayerful wishes, it was good to receive a letter directly from you.
There is no need to point out to you that the real reward of a Mitzvah is the Mitzvah itself, as our Sages declare, but I do want to mention that I appreciate your thoughtfulness for the real gratification your letter brought me. For, it is indeed gratifying to note that you are encouraging your husband and are working together with him in spreading Yiddishkeit in every possible way. May G-d grant that since as our Sages declare, “One who has 100, desires 200, and having attained 200, desires 400,” meaning that every achievement increases ambition, may this be so in regard to all the good achievements which you and your husband have to your credit.
As requested, I will remember in prayer all those mentioned in your letter. The Zechus of the Tzedoko. for which receipt is enclosed, will surely stand you and all yours in good stead, including those in whose behalf you requested a blessing, making you their good Shaliach.
Hoping to hear good news from you always.
With blessing,
