Greeting and Blessing:
I duly received your letter postmarked January 23rd, and may G-d grant the fulfillment of your heart’s desires for good.
I was gratified to read about your advancement in matters of Yiddishkeit. There is surely no need to emphasize to you at length that there is always room for improvement in all matters of goodness and holiness, Torah and Mitzvos, which though a must for its own sake, is the way to broaden the channels to receive G-d’s blessings in all needs.
This is particularly relevant in connection with your writing that you plan to make aliyah to the Holy Land. As I had occasion to mention this before in similar situations, when one plans a visit to another country, it often requires a visa, and the “visa” to the Holy Land is in terms of an extra measure of holiness, not only while living there, but also while making preparations to make aliyah when still at home. And this is the inner meaning of aliyah, meaning an “ascendancy,” namely to a higher spiritual level in all matters of Torah and Mitzvos in the daily life and conduct.
Wishing you Hatzlocho in all above,
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
Certainly the conversion you mention was by an orthodox Beth-Din?
