By the Grace of G-d 20th of Sivan, 5737Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mrs.
Blessing and Greeting:
Thank you very much for your letter and for the plaque and above all for your good wishes. As I have said on such occasions, the best reciprocation is the blessings that those who bless others receive from G-d, the Source of all blessings, Whose blessings are boundless.
May G-d grant that the anxieties you wrote about should turn out for the good and you should have hatzlocho in your work and true nachas from your offspring for many healthy and happy years.
With blessing,
P.S. I believe I mentioned to you before that I feel embarrassed when you send me objects of your art work in which you undoubtedly put much time and effort diverted from your professional livelihood. While mutual sentiments and blessings cannot be measured in terms of money, I will feel much better if you will permit me to compensate in some measure for your time and expenses at least. Not having an inkling what this should be I am taking the liberty of enclosing a note tentatively, and will appreciate your letting me know candidly if I have missed the mark.
PP. S. Regarding your desire to see me personally, I trust, first of all, that the problems you mentioned will be resolved satisfactorily, so that there will be no need to talk about them or seek advice. Actually, the reason my office has been unable to arrange an early appointment is that the pressure on my time has been particularly heavy, with the result that the time allotted to audiences has been drastically curtailed. Regretfully, far from seeing a let-up, new urgent matters surface increasingly, leaving little likelihood that the situation regarding audiences will improve before the end of summer and the festivals following. I am sure you will understand. The main thing, as mentioned is that I am confident that the problems you mention will be resolved with G-d's help, and there will be an opportunity to meet again in a happy frame of mind.
