Rabbi
Greeting and Blessing:
Thank you very much for your letter, in which I read with profound gratification of the hatzlacha of the Encounter of teenagers from your area with the representatives of the Lubavitcher Youth Organization who visited your community recently.
I was particularly pleased to note your own personal and heartfelt reaction to this meeting. This is especially significant, since you were present at the event, know the audience, witnessed their response and also met with many of them after the Encounter. Indeed, the important thing is that there should be a lasting effect, for this, after all, is the essential purpose of such Encounters.
Reading your letter, I am encouraged in my hope that you and others who can contribute to the above will do your best to see to it that there will indeed be practical results which will be reflected in the general strengthening of all matters of Yiddishkeit, increased study of the Torah-Torat Chaim - and a greater adherence to the mitzvot that we Jews live by. Moreover, I trust that these activities will be carried out in the spirit of the present month of marbim b’simcha, with inspiration, joy and gladness of heart.
Particular thanks for your good wishes expressed at the conclusion of your letter in connection with our twentieth anniversary of Yud Shevat. May G-d grant that all the blessings that Jews wish one another be realized in the fullest measure.
With blessing
