Greeting and Blessing:
I duly received your letter of the 4th of Nissan.
The question of transliteration of Hebrew words does, indeed, present a diversity of opinion. However, we do wish to maintain a semblance of consistency as much as possible in using the Ashkenazi form of transliteration. (*)
Best wishes for a Kosher and happy Pesach,
Sincerely yours,
Y. Krinsky
For Rabbi M.A. Hodakov, Director
(*) It is, of course, impossible to be absolutely consistent, since there such words as "Torah" and the like, whose Sephardic transliteration is so universal.
