By the Grace of G-d 24th of Sivan, 5725 Brooklyn, N. Y.

I was deeply grieved to hear of the passing of Mr. Moses A. Leavitt of blessed memory.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all the members of the Administration of the Joint Distribution Committee as well as to his bereaved family, and not least to all the many thousands of fellow Jews who have been helped by his dedicated rescue work over the many years of his association with you.

The late Mr. Moses A. Leavitt of blessed memory personified so well all that the American Joint Distribution Committee has stood for. His memory will be cherished by all who have been privileged to know him and work with him to alleviate the plight of our brethren in various parts of the world during such critical periods in the history of our people.

With blessing
