By the Grace of G-d 19th of Tammuz, 5724 Brooklyn, N, Y.

Blessing and Greeting:
I received your letter of the 12th of Tammuz, in which you write about the arrangements for the Chuppah and wedding.1
It is self-evident, without any doubt whatever, that you have to be present at the wedding Seuda. It is surprising that you should have any doubt about it. After all one should not forget that the most important people at the wedding are the bride and bridegroom, and then come all other people and all other considerations. At the same time there are the Sheva Brochos at the wedding Seuda, which are said only if the bride and bridegroom are present. Of course, the Sheva Brochos constitute G-d’s blessings to the Chosson and Kalo, and Heaven forbid and forfend that the attitude towards G-d’s blessings should not reflect the fullest earnestness and appreciation which G-d’s blessings merit. If such should be the attitude towards any blessings of G-d, every day, and in regard to any aspect of life, how much more so should this be at a time when a young couple is laying the foundations for the Binyan Adei Ad for their entire future life. This includes also the foundation for the happiness from children and children’s children, which is included in G-d’s blessings. Therefore it is obvious that at the wedding one should desire G-d’s blessings in full.
I believe that the only reason why you had any question about it is the temporary unhappy mood in which you wrote your letter, and which I trust is long past by the time you receive my letter.
What has been said above refers also to the Seudos of the Sheva Brochos which will surely follow during the seven days after the Chuppah, as is customary.
May G-d grant that from now on you will have only good and happy things to write about, in the realm of the obvious good. I note that you wrote your letter on the auspicious day of the 12th of Tammuz, the significance of which you surely know. May it bring you additional happiness and inspiration.
With blessing
