By the Grace of G-d 11th of Adar, 5724 Brooklyn, N. Y.
Greeting and Blessing:
I received your letter of the 19th of Shevat.
I was pleased to read about your progress in your studies. I hope that this also means a corresponding progress in the observance of the Torah and Mitzvoth, and your daily conduct in general. For, however satisfactory the daily life may be on any particular day, there is always room for improvement on the next day, and further improvement the day after, and so on.
I will remember you, as well as the others mentioned in your letter, in prayer, when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory.
I hope you will have an enjoyable and inspiring Purim, being particularly inspired by the Mesiras Nefesh of our forefathers in those days. For they could have easily saved themselves by giving up their faith, yet they were prepared to give up their life rather than their faith.1 And, where there is such Mesiras Nefesh for the Torah and Mitzvoth, all dangers and difficulties are overcome, with G-d’s help.
Hoping to hear good news from you
With blessing
By Nissan Mindel
