By the Grace of G-d 28th of Teves, 5724 Brooklyn, N. Y.
Greeting and Blessing:
After not having heard from you for some time, I received your letter of the 18th of Teves. As requested, I will remember you and the others mentioned in your letter in prayer, when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory. Especially, that you should advance steadily in your learning of Nigleh and Chassidus, and the observance of the Mitzvoth with Hiddur.
For, in addition to the precept of advancement in all matters of holiness,1 which must be fulfilled for its own sake, our Sages say that he who increases his efforts receives increased blessings.2 At the same time, we have been assured that when a person sanctifies himself a little by his own efforts, he is sanctified a great deal from On High.3
With blessing
